Holy moly, she's growing fast and flowering!! I'll be adding to the trellis today & will post on that later this afternoon.
OK, our tomato plant has gone crazy!! It totally took over my tiny trellis so, I had to string up twine from our fence to a piece of re-barb I stuck in the ground.
Already picked a few toms, there's still several popping up. However, not sure how much longer into this season it will produce. I've learned a lot with this first plant. Will have a better producing plant next Spring.
This is our lavender that has done very well once I got it into the ground.
Happy to hear they're perennials :)

About the middle of May I planted a couple caladium bulbs, one, in front of our house next to some cannas the other in front of Sara's window. They are doing great!
Got these cannas from a Craigslist ad.
Here are several more cannas from same CL ad. These guys are loving the soil!
A silly little garden I planted around our mailbox. Everything's growing soo well. I'm going to end up extending this garden into a rectangular shape to cover more ground. I'll post about that next week :)
Remember our little organic heirloom tomato plants?

Ok, I'll admit I do not have a green thumb. Unlike my beautiful mom and my aunt, who seem to be able to grow anything, I cannot. However, I do not give up! Of course, I do get extremely frustrated and will wallow in that frustration for a bit but, I try, try, again. "Rinse & Repeat". My biggest frustration here recently has been growing some lovely veggies from seeds. Remember, I am completely new at "being a gardener". Picked up some seeds from our local Sunflower Shoppe along with a Seeds of Change Home Garden Starter Kit of heirloom organic tomatoes.

Isn't it cute? Awww. I will be making a lattice later this week for when he's bigger. Will post the super simple instructions, supplies & pics afterwards.
Just some pics of the lovely blooms we have throughout our backyard.....
